Helping WA parents find the right speech therapist, faster.

PSPAWA's website was outdated, hard to use on mobile, and made it difficult for parents to find a therapist or for members to manage their profiles. We redesigned the site around its two core jobs - connecting families with the right therapist, and giving members a simple way to manage memberships and bookings.

Two audiences, one clear experience.
The site serves two very different groups: parents searching for a speech therapist, and practising therapists who are members of the association. We designed separate pathways for each - parents land on a search-first experience that filters by location, specialisation, and availability, while members get a streamlined dashboard for renewals, profile updates, and appointment management. The therapist directory was rebuilt from scratch with proper search, individual profiles, and direct booking. Everything was designed mobile-first, since most parents are searching from their phones between school runs.

Impact
Membership sign-ups after launch
For parents to search, filter, and book appointments
Manual processing - renewals and payments now self-serve
First design for parents browsing on the go
Style Guide
A foundation the committee can maintain.
PSPAWA is run by a volunteer committee, not a full-time digital team. We created a simple style guide covering colours, typography, components, and layout patterns - clear enough that anyone on the committee could update content or add pages without the design falling apart. The goal was to hand over something sustainable, not something that needed a designer on call.

Style Guide
A foundation the committee can maintain.
We redesigned the website to improve user experience and accessibility, with a focus on mobile optimisation. The new design featured a streamlined interface, making it easier for users to search for and contact speech therapists. We also simplified the membership sign-up and payment processes, eliminating the need for manual processing by the committee. These changes aimed to enhance engagement and operational efficiency.
Impact
Following the redesign, the Speech Pathologists Association of WA saw a significant increase in membership sign-ups and higher engagement on the site. Speech therapists experienced more appointment bookings, and the optimised mobile functionality made it convenient for parents to access crucial information anytime, anywhere. The improved digital presence resulted in tangible, positive outcomes for both the association and its users.
